looked at today's date & realized that tomorrow i will have been on dA for 4 years maybe that's not a big deal to some ppl, but to me it has more meaning than just belonging to some website.

4 years ago my kids & i moved up to Ohio from Florida for 'safety' reasons **iow my jailer ex-husband didn't like it one bit when i left him and he tried to cause all kinds of trouble. note i said TRIED **

my Uncle Eddie took the four of us in and has pretty much given me the stinkeye anytime i've even mentioned we should maybe move out. i think he kinda likes having us around or something.

anyway back on topic: it was shortly after we moved here that i joined dA. at 1st i just browsed/faved things because i didn't feel as if my own art was good enough to show other ppl. yeah, i got over that pretty quick just the fact that i finally had the freedom to express my true self for the 1st time in my life had a lot to do with it.

becoming obsessed with Deidara & the Akatsuki and wanting to make craptons of fanarts also had a lot to do with it

the first thing i put up was a Deidara/Fred Fredburger crossover. (can be seen here  [link] view at your own risk-you've been warned) it may not be a crowning glory of artistic wonderfulness, but dammit, it's mine and i'm proud of it it took a LOT of courage for me to take that first step and draw it out, let alone post it. more than anyone on here will ever know.


now the problem is getting me to STOP making/posting my crazy stuff sometimes i honestly can't believe that 4 years ago my bro actually had to show me how to do simple stuff like copy/paste i only wish i were kidding (btw thanx Bro for not making fun of me when i was a n00b) if someone had told me then that i'd be doing some of the photomanips & other stuff i've done, i'd have said they were knucking futz



the whole point of this long and rambly journal, i guess, is that i'm truly grateful for everyone on here who has supported me & my art over the past 4 years i've met some truly amazing ppl on here and made some awesome friends. even though i don't come on here everyday like i used to (besides personal issues, my craptop has been making scary noises & i've been afraid it's gonna die on me) i'm still glad i took that 1st step and i hope y'all are too THANK YOU GUYS~



P.S. this has absolutely nothing to do with any of the rest of the journal BUT two things i'm totally about recently is 1) Reafu and i are planning our Halloween costumes & they're both Pokemon related. and yes, there will be pics of us together as well as our seperate costumes AND 2) sometime this week *hopefully* i will get to see the 3 pins i comissioned from ~GwydionAE she's making me Daft Punk and Lorne the demon from Angel.

i. am. seriously. EXCITED. just a teeeeny bit. can ya tell? XDDDDDDDDDDD
