well, finally beat that @#$%^&*! boss the other day, and i was feeling all proud & stuff b/c i didn't die ONCE or have to use a fairy even though i had 3 in bottles...

and i was strutting around the house like

yeeeah i WAS proud, that is, until my 10-YR-old son, Gabe, goes in there and beats Koloktos the 1st time he fights him AAAND, just to add insult to injury, he passes the Lanayru Silent Realm his first time, too.

even his big sister (who's a WAAAAAAAAAAY better player than both of us) had to do both those things more than once! and when she found out what li'l bro did, she told him XD


why is this such a big deal that he did this? b/c this is the same kid who's always like "MOOOOM! i can't so this!!" "MOOOOOM! omg this guy is killing me i need help!!! "MOM! I DUNNO WHERE TO GO!!!" "MOOOOOOOOOOOOM....!!!"

i had to do the whole City in the Sky temple on Twilight Princess for him, for phuck's sake AND Zant's place in the Twilght Realm. AAAND the Arbiter's Grounds (ok, so i didn't mind that bit cause i got to fight DEATHSWORD again and as y'all know he's a Gomess cousin and I LUFF HIM)

anyway next time that little scam artist says "MOM! i can't blahblahblah COME HELP ME!" ima be like:

"PFFFT!"

yeeaah, in case ya can't tell, i died fighting him. TWICE and haven't played Skyward Sword for 2 days now   which is a shame b/c the Ancient Cistern itself was a pretty easy temple (once i figured out how to swimjump w/o bashing Keebler into the wall 52 times a day, that is XD)

for those of you who haven't played, this is what it looks like outside:

like a Buddist Temple, huh? inside is even more beautiful--there's clear ponds w/lotus flowers everywhere, plus the boss key itself looks like a Buddah sitting on a lotus.


sorry if i'm gushing but i'm a very detail-oriented person, especially when it comes to art. like, i can't just "play" a game; i have to check out the architechture & designs & stuff in the temples, towns, backgrounds, etc. sometimes i know i drive Reafu nuts b/c she'll be playing and i'm like "OMG DID THAT BLOCK HAVE A SUN ON IT!?!! GO BACK SO I CAN LOOK AT IT!" and "HEY LOOK THERE'S EVEN DIAMONDS ON THE GROUND HERE, TOO! WOW! THESE DETAILS ARE AWESOME!"

_{*that last one was while she was doing the Silent Realm trial for Lanayru as any LoZ/SS player can tell you, i'm lucky i didn't get the Wiimote chucked at my head. hell, i'm lucky to be alive at all after that}


but anyway most of the Ancient Cistern was so gorgeous, i was like the whole time. the only bad parts were *gulp* in the basement where the Cursed Bokoblins & poison gunk was (and you HAVE to go there to get the Boss Key)

that and like i said NOT A FAN OF THE SWIMJUMPING OVER WALLS



so why am i on here writing a journal about it when 1) i just put one up like two days ago and 2) there's tons of other crap i should be doing instead?

BECAUSE I DUN WANNA GO BACK IN THERE AND DIE AGAIN stupid lousy Koloktos big meanie statue thingie!!!! WITH LIKE 8 MILLION SWORDS

right after i finish some jewelry projects i'm working on and a frame i'm painting and straighten up the dining room...and maybe do some laundry
